Kiwanis One Day

Please mark your calendar for the Kiwanis One Day, on Saturday, April 2nd.  We'll start at 9:30 a.m. and be done before lunch.  This year we will be helping the Soldwedel Program Center by collecting items from nature that will be used in a special project.

Bowl-a-Thon For Spastic Paralysis

Spastic Paralysis is a symptom of various diseases or medical conditions of the central nervous system that cause spasticity (stiff or rigid muscles that interfere with walking, movement or speech).  All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the Spastic Paralysis Research Foundation.  In addition to bowling there will be a bag toss game and other fun!  Click on the links below to view registration and sponsorship forms.

 

BUG Breakfast in March

Mark your calendars and watch for more details about the B.U.G. Breakfast scheduled for March 23rd.  B.U.G. (Bringing Up Grades) will be held at Wilson and Washington Schools and several volunteers will be needed at each school.

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast

Mark your calendars - the pancake breakfast will be on March 19th.  More info to come soon.

Board Meetings

All members are invited to attend the monthly board meetings.  They are held at 7:30am on the first Tuesday of the month at the Pekin Avanti's Dome.

Helping St. Jude

The Kiwanis Club of Pekin will be working the phones for the WXCL St Jude Radiothon on Thursday, February 10th, from 12-2 pm. Stop out at Northwoods Mall and join in the fun.

New Pekin Club Forming

Help the Kiwanis family grow - spread the word about a NEW Pekin club that will be meeting at 5:30pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at Mashies in the Club at Sunset Hills.  The first meeting is Thursday, January 27th.

Guest Bartenders Raise Funds for Kiwanis

Stop in at Yesterdays in downtown Pekin on Thursday, February 3rd from 5:00 - 8:00pm.  Leigh Ann Matthews and Courtney Antonini will be guest bartending and raising money for our club.

Governor's Visit

This is our night to shine! This event is open to Kiwanis members and their guests.  Our Lt. Governor and Kiwanis Club of Pekin member Amy Whiting promises a fun evening and would really like to see a LARGE Pekin showing there!

The event is Friday, January 21st in the Chiminee Room, at the Hotel Pere Marquette, in Peoria.  You can RSVP to Amy Whiting at awhiting@sbsisemonis.com or 309-369-0364.  The cost is $25 per person.

At 5:30pm is the President's Roundtable.  Every Division 20 club should be represented (presidents, secretaries, or their designees).

6:30pm - Cocktails, Dinner, and Program
